A celebration of Sherry, Wine, Tapas, & Friends. Influenced by the culture of sip-a-little-bit-of-this-and-eat-a-little-bit-of-that, Tapavino began in August 2012 as Australia’s first Sherry Bar in Sydney, in a little lane-way not unlike something you would find in the cobblestoned alleyways of Spain. We ordered the Kangaroo Skewers, Yellowfin Tuna and a Tomahawk steak, along with broccolini and pumpkin as sides to share. Every dish was excellent. It exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend visiting for an incredible meal. We plan on going again.

Great cozy and unassuming cocktail bar. It is upstairs in a lane next to the Marriott, and would have missed it had I not do a search. It’s small, maybe seating for 40 or people max. Great ambiance and music. Really nice and helpful staff. The cocktails were delicious.

If you go with a fixed menu, be prepare to eat what’s on the fixed list. There is no “pick one of these 3 options”. You’d better like things like oysters, caviar, and raw tuna. If so, you will probably enjoy. If not, you may be wasting your money. There was nothing wrong with the food, but the menu was just too foo foo for me.
