We were on 1526 Sansom St. for 14 years and then moved to 1300 South St. We create gourmet Afghan food that you can find in Afghanistan or here at our Philadelphia location. We have mouthwatering flavors starting from our bread to our kabobs. Our bread's recipe and technique have been passed down from the founder's great-great-grandfather, who owned an array of bakeries and managed many restaurants in Kabul. Passed through generations to our chef, who brought delicious meals to 15th and Sansom of Philadelphia. Then from 15th and Sansom to 1300 South St. We have delectable food that you fall in love with and will bring comfort to you, from our meat lovers to our vegans. This was our first time at lock bar and overall it was very good. We did not know being Christmas Eve of the kitchen was closing early which we were not thrilled about because we had a later dinner reservation and it forced us to order before we wanted to. The server also had a few miscues on the timing of things sending out the food too early but they rectified it and it was all okay. We both have the cream of crab soup which was very very good. I have the crab cake and the server said it was considered some of the best in the city and I would agree with that it was all pure crab meat no filler.

We were a party of 8 on a very busy night for dining out in Philly. We had such a fun night at Viola Bistro. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was excellent!

We ate in the the board area. TVs around which we enjoy. 5 of ate. All enjoyed meals and drinks. Service is superior. Food is very good.
