The Ox Barn is a 56-seater destination restaurant under the direction of Head Chef, Charlie Hibbert. Rooted in a passion for the local land, food and entertaining, the carefully curated menus are farm-based and plant-inspired. His team and the gardeners at Thyme work together to select and grow the fruits, vegetables and herbs used to create his Modern British Countryside fare. The nineteenth century former oxen house is the newest addition to the family of meticulously restored farm buildings. A state-of-the-art piece of agricultural architecture at its conception, Caryn Hibbert worked meticulously to preserve the soaring archways and original Cotswold stone rubble walls, to now house a modern, dining destination - including a contemporary bar and seven and a half metre Charvet open kitchen - to allow for an authentic, heritage-rich dining experience, enabled by today’s best culinary technologies.

The Horse and Groom Inn aims to provide great food and drink in a quintessential, traditional 16th century country inn. Dining is relaxed and informal in a friendly atmosphere. We stock a wide choice of wines by the glass, cask conditioned ales, lagers and ciders. Our guests can enjoy dining in our cosy bar or restaurant areas. We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. We also have a comfortable outdoor terrace and garden area with picturesque babbling brook. We also have a small in-pub coffee shop and delicatessen! Selling the best of local produce, bread, milk and a selection of luxury food and drink items, the shop is open whenever we are. We also provide great coffees to drink in or take away. Our menu focusses on great steaks and seafood (vegetarian/ vegan always available). Note: There are two pubs called the Horse and Groom in the area - we are the Horse and Groom Inn at Upper Oddington.

Our head chef Andrew Campbell fuses contemporary and traditional British cooking and adds an appealing local twist. Andrew carefully selects the best regional, seasonal ingredients, while supporting British farmers, fishermen and artisan producers.The restaurant itself has handsome vaulted ceilings and original oak beams, a classic look that’s complemented by a modern, easy-going ambience.     Staff were friendly and professional. Advised on best wine with the meal. It was a Sunday evening, we arrived slightly early to the time booked but were still shown to our table. We were given the Sunday roast menu to which three had the beef and I had the lamb. The food tasted great with compliments from my guests. One asked for horseradish sauce to which was provided immediately. My lamb was a little chewy in places but overall was good. The gravy was outstanding in flavour and my guests also commented equally. This was a second visit to the Old Swan for me and two guests, the previous visit being about a year ago and both times were a great experience. Many thanks to the Old Swan and its staff

    The food was incredible. At last a restaurant that serves amazing food. So well cooked and seasoned and excellent presentation. Truly outstanding. It’s been a very very very long time that we have had food this good. We were a party for 5 and every one of us was WOW this is so good. Excellent

    A perfect Christmas Day lunch. Blown away by the quality of the meal and service from the staff. We will definitely be doing this again next year
