Sai serves authentic Punjabi cuisine with tandoor cooking a speciality. The spice range is broad, from minimal to high levels and vegetables forming the backbone of the menu. Wheat is the staple food of Punjabis; however, they do enjoy eating rice at festivals and other special occasions. When it comes to food, each region within Punjab has an entirely different preference, for example, people in Amritsar are particularly fond of stuffed parathas and milk products. The philosophy of life for many Punjabis is to eat, drink and make merry. They are lively people who are extremely fond of eating good food. Open since 1985, this delightful, unpretentious restaurant in Forest Hill, London, is renowned for its stunning and innovative modern Indian cuisine. Babur's stylish, earthy interior features exposed brick walls, natural wooden furniture and beautiful handmade Bengali artworks. The intimate atmosphere and sensational staff have made Babur a favourite dining destination with Forest Hill locals, and the food is worth making a trip across town for. We highly recommend the spicy sardine fish cake stuffed with caramelised figs; sandalwood ostrich infused with fenugreek; and black cod in spices and mustard oil with mustard mash. The wine list, designed by Peter McCombie, is also superb and features 16 wines by the glass, and 34 bottles for under £20.

Le Public House Garrison est un pub gastronomique animé au cœur de la communauté créative de Bermondsey Street, juste à côté des délices comestibles du Borough Market. Ici, on se sert de l'avantage d'être un restaurant indépendant; de l'intérieur excentriquement inimitable à la liste de vins considérable, en passant par la participation du personnel, on s'assure que tout ce qui est fait respecte les règles du style Garrison. Le lieu est ouvert tous les jours pour le déjeuner, le dîner et le souper. Le menu se concentre sur des produits de saison de leurs fournisseurs artisanaux préférés. Established in 1987, Meson Don Felipe was the first Tapas Bar in London and we are still an independent, family-run business.
