Ce restaurant romantique installé dans une ferme et membre de Relais & Châteaux, est «succulent du début à la fin ... en effet sublime ... à la fois original et intelligemment conçu, non sans un clin d'œil à la tradition», a écrit le critique Greg Cox de News & Observer. Le menu du chef Colin Bedford est une symphonie au goût de la saison, à la fois locale et exotique, pour laquelle la provenance des aliments est soigneusement sélectionnée pour un tout merveilleux en bouche. Choisissez parmi la cave à vins primée ou laissez le Sommelier Max Kast accorder chacun de vos services à un vin d'une main experte. Arrivez tôt pour un apéritif au bar, sur le perron à colonnes blanches de la ferme, dans les chaises donnant sur les pâturages, ou lors d'une visite des vastes jardins. Les chambres intimes comprenant cheminées et oeuvres d'art régionales sublimes s'agencent avec le menu primé Gold Medalist (N & O) en 2011, pour former une expérience exceptionnelle. Seul restaurant AAA 5 Diamants de la Caroline du Nord, le restaurant est situé à une courte distance en voiture dans les routes de campagne, tout près de Chapel Hill, Cary, Raleigh ou Durham.

The whole experience was amazing. The food was extremely delicious and prepared awesome. The presentation was top notch. The wine pairing elevated the food taste perfectly. The staff were great, knowledgeable and very attentive. The atmosphere was perfect.

Me and my wife came to celebrate her birthday and yes we loved the place and the ambiance. We did however have some issues and pointers for this restaurant. One the Pringles were all half cooked and the rest were hard and chewy, the attention was not there I had asked the young waiter for something spicy and he never returned with an answer or something spicy such as hot sauce or any spicy side. Then I had asked the host about a dessert where if possible they could have put happy birthday even with chocolate writing on the plate, she heard me and went to ask the chef but never gave me an answer so me and my wife did not have dessert there. Also the waitress kept splashing the water out the cup on the table every time she poured water. Our food was good, I had the burger and my wife the lemon pea risotto. I did wish the burger came with a side or at least to have been asked if I wished to have a side with the burger since it comes in a huge plate with a small burger in the middle with nothing else. Over all it’s a beautiful place with good food but very poor service and this makes the whole experience low quality for me and I had great hopes for this place.

The various food courses were excellent, the wines and the sommeliere were great, the service was impeccable!

This restaurant is very special. I have not found anything in the triangle that is it’s peer. We went with the price fixe menu with wine parings. It was an extraordinary experience.

Always impeccable service—polite, knowledgeable, attentive, obsequious. The food is colorful and artistically plated and the flavor combinations are drool-worthy. Thanks Fearrington House for helping us celebrate our anniversary in style and with taste.

It’s a beautiful restaurant in a lovely inn. The staff is courteous, polished, and friendly, as would be expected in a Relais and Chateaus facility. We had dined (and stayed overnight) there in the past, so we expected the same wonderful experience. Alas, it was not to be. We were a little concerned when we ordered glasses of wine that seemed a little slow in coming. However, as the evening wore on — and it did wear on — the intervals got longer between courses. Two and a quarter hours later our desserts finally arrived, but then we waited 35 more minutes for our check, a total of almost three hours. By 10:45 p.m., we were thoroughly annoyed and too tired to take a stroll around the village as we had planned. A second criticism is of the preparation of the meal. For each course the plates were arranged artistically, but often the number and flavors of the accompaniments were distracting. Even the cheese straw with one course had many tiny “things” along its entire length. We wished the kitchen had allowed the high quality of the ingredients and their skill to shine through instead of trying to impress diners with their “creativity.” We appreciate the restraint of a thoughtful, loving treatment of fine food. The complimentary breakfast was only okay. For example, the biscuits were greasy and over-baked so much as to be difficult to chew. The coffee was tepid. My pancakes were raw in the middle. I hate to be this negative about a restaurant with high aspirations that I loved in the past, but when spending over $400 for dinner, I expect near-perfection.

We wanted to love everything about this beautiful restaurant that had the most amazing wait staff with really excellent service. But the food didn't quite match the standard of service. My husband was underwhelmed by both his fried oyster salad and his risotto. My fried fish dish was presented in a gorgeous way but the batter was a bit heavy.
