   The braised short ribs were the best I've ever eaten. The service was great. We will go back for sure!

   Everything was delicious! Our awesome server, Melissa, was not only super sweet and efficient, but really helpful ! All her menu recommendations were spot on!!! Wonderful evening. Thank you!!!

   We had heard that the Fat Canary was excellent. We were not disappointed! The appetizer special for the evening was Cauliflower soup, it was amazing! We had a Special entree for the evening, Rockfish with Shrimp, amazing! The roasted chicken was equally as good. Our server, from Kosovo was very good, so pleasant and very knowledgeable of the menu. We much enjoyed our evening.

   I had the scallops and polenta. Superb. My husband had the duck and he loved it! We opted to take the flourless chocolate cake home. It was more like a wonderful chocolate mousse in cased in a triangle of luscious dark chocolate. Perfect end to a perfect night.

   As always, a fabulous experience! My dinner-mate and I shared the lobster fettuccine as an appetizer. So rich and delicious. Then I had the arugala & beet salad which was flavor packed. As an entree the duck was perfectly paired with a lucious cherry sauce and mouthwatering farro. The Fat Canary will continue to be one of my favorite Virginia restaurants.

    Great experience on all counts! Can’t miss with the daily soup (oyster on this visit) or entree. Open kitchen and lively bar add to the atmosphere.
