We began with cocktails on the outdoor patio facing Duke of Gloucester Street. The barman David always makes excellent cocktails. He brought a perfect Vesper Martini to the table along with beautiful Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Dinner was excellent inside, the halibut special was amazing. As was the mozzarella starter. Our friends enjoyed the pork and chicken dish. We have never had a disappointing meal at Fat Canary. The wine list, bar menu and service our second to none.

Was very good. Food allergy was nicely accommodated. Fish special a tad overcooked. The main issue we had was pacing as entrees came out while we were still enjoying apps. Wine came well after entrees were served.

We enjoyed a fantastic dinner at the Fat Canary. It was a pleasure from start to finish. Ryan was our server, he did an outstanding job & suggested a wine pairing for the Foie gras that was perfect. My sister had the Scallops and said they were the best she’d ever eaten. If we lived nearby the Fat Canary would be our go to for every special occasion.

The Fat Canary delivered beyond our expectations and it was a pleasure to dine there. It remains one of our all time favorite restaurants in the area and we will continue to return there again and again.

We had an incredible dinner at our first visit to Fat Canary. While the place is definitely not glam, the food and service were exceptional in every way. Our night far exceeded our expectations. And though the selections aren’t large in number, they were impeccably flavorful and exquisite in plating. Sarah, our server, had great input in our selections and paced our food appropriately. Only down side was that I found the maitre d’ to be somewhat officious upon arrival.

The Fat Canary never fails to deliver! A wonderful meal and excellent service. The halibut special was wonderful - perfectly cooked and seasoned. The best restaurant in Williamsburg!
