The Fat Canary never fails to deliver! A wonderful meal and excellent service. The halibut special was wonderful - perfectly cooked and seasoned. The best restaurant in Williamsburg!

My wife and I had a fantastic 28th anniversary at the Fat Canary! We sat next to the kitchen which was the center stage with Chef Power and son! A dynamic duo ! We had rabbit, duck and salmon and they were all totally delicious and prepared to perfection. This was a culinary experience to remember. The staff was friendly, hospitable and professional. The bar-man was a gentleman and a great martini maker in addition to the extensive fine wine list. Thank you all at the Fat Canary for such a fantastic night. Patrick

Excellent service, cocktails and dinner! We were seated promptly and the service was fantastic. The food is always top notch and the desserts were out of this world!!A++

It’s the best restaurant in Williamsburg, on a par with the finest fine dining restaurants in big cities. Fabulous and creative menu with high/end selections for less than you’d pay in DC or NY. Lobster fettuccine and the unique approach to a mozzarella appetizer are great starters. No one anywhere presents a better fish dish and the fish is always extraordinary. Short ribs are remarkably great. The food tastes as good as it looks. Service is perfect. You can’t beat this place. Costs more than other local restaurants but it’s all worth it — and a bargain compared to DC spots.

Far Canary is an outstanding restaurant. We started with the dragon fruit cocktail and the mezcal cocktail. Both drinks were unique & distinctive. We ordered the avocado soup which was served cold. It had a velvety texture, a delicious flavor, and was a perfect start to our dinner. The heritage breed pork chop with apples, caramelized onion, & goat cheese bread pudding was the star our Fat Canary experience. We ended with the ginger cake which was beautifully plated & delightful. Our server was attentive, professional, & friendly.

They have the best vegetarian entree - the vegetable plate. Lots of different tastes and flavors-it’s excellent!
