Has been a frequent diner at this location, and it must be my favourite restaurant of the year. Daily bread was focaccia stuffed with dried tomatoes paired with herbal butter; very soft and flavourful; ordered another for take-out. Nothing much to say about the duck meatball; always a must-have when being here; just good. Pork chop comes from the daily butcher’s cuts; highly recommended to put this on the regular menu; smoky crust was a bonus to the tender meat, and sweet apple jam was a perfect compliment; not only to mention that the $28 price was of best value; a must-try if you’re okay with pork. Others I had and liked: duck breast, pork belly, and steelhead. Others I had but disliked: their steaks (they’re particularly not good at making steaks lol; didn’t think better than my home-made; nothing much to blame not a steakhouse) Others I hoped: dessert wines & ice wines!

The Benedict was amazing but the eggs sandwich was just ok, drinks and service were also really good

Fable fits the bill as a neighborhood go to for us. We are new to Kits and had been missing our local comfort restaurant, so when we arrived at Fable, it felt like home. Very pleasant staff (important to us) and delicious food (very important to us). The staff looked comfortable with each other and they were very welcoming. My husband got the $50 tasting menu and I got the butcher’s cut pork chop. Both were excellent. Highly recommend. For an appetizer, we had a mushroom dish that looked like a spider crab, but tasted like we could have it on a regular basis. Drinks were also delicious. I had a perf try mad Manhattan and my husband got the wine paring with the tasting menu. Thank you for the evening, Fae. We will be back.

The food was amazing, the only reason I don’t give an all round five was the service was a bit too obsequious. The restaurant was not full but we kept being asked are you finished, may I take this plate a little too often. We felt rushed when dining with friends from abroad who we hadn’t seen for years. Again, the food was delicious, nothing off there!
