Le restaurant Evangeline est un bistrot décontracté, attendu par la vallée de Napa : une destination avec une terrasse de jardin et une cuisine, des boissons et un service de classe mondiale. Vous pourrez déguster des mets classiques de bistrot comme les huîtres crues, le croque-madame, le saumon fumé et le steak-frites, dans la plus savoureuse des formes que vous ayez jamais goûté. Les spécialités du jour comme des crevettes à l'étouffée, le gumbo ya-ya ou le poulet frit sont des aperçus du répertoire français et créole du chef Gustavo Rios. Une vaste gamme de vins au verre est servie par notre système de distribution, qui permet de verser des verres parfaits de vins exclusifs qui sont rarement offerts à la bouteille. Vous apprécierez les bières et les spiritueux locaux au bar chic et confortable. Le joyau de l'Evangeline est la terrasse extérieure bordée de treillis, pourvue de ventilateurs et de radiateurs pour prendre vos repas en plein air lorsque le temps le permet. La lumière du soleil et la musique font du restaurant une idylle de la vallée de Napa qui vaut le détour. Le stationnement est gratuit en face de la rue.

We had a lovely dinner at Evangeline for restaurant week. The food was yummy, the service was responsive and friendly. The temperature in the restaurant was cold; we were told that the door need to stay open because it is a patio restaurant and there were some folks seated in the outdoor space. Could the staff enter and exit through a closed swinging door??

The restaurant was nice and the staff friendly but they were out of everything I ordered. I tried to order the Evangeline steak. And they were out. This was early in the evening. It was still on the menu and they didn't set expectations when giving us the menu. I ordered something else and it was nice. For desert I ordered the bread pudding. The waiter took the order and came back with the lava cake. When we pointed out the error they admitted they were out of the bread pudding. Again the food was fine but the experience was diminished by the lack of everything I ordered.

We were excited to try out authentic Creole food. Although the food was decent, it was not authentic Creole food, and not worth the price we paid. My husband was looking forward to the gumbo and was disappointed with the lack of flavor and thick stew. Too much starch was added. Service was impeccable—no complaints about the wait staff.

We came in on a quiet evening for a “ girls catch-up “ and although placed inside, upon request they set us up with heaters outside ( leaving the romantic setting for the couples to enjoy without us blabbing away). The staff is just so wonderful and we didn’t feel rushed and enjoyed a fantastic meal. Left us feeling like it was a special occasion when we just went because no one felt like cooking!

Excellent! We went here on our first night in Calistoga, and we wish we had come here on our 2nd and final night in Calistoga. Went to Lovina, which was such a disappointment

Our server Raul was so pleasant and attentive. My husband had the Bouillabaisse and thought it was one of the best seafood dishes he's ever had. I had the burger which was tasty. The chocolate lava cake was delicious. Too bad it wasn't a little bigger! Our 3rd time dining here and we will definitely return

The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. The food was not as good as we were expecting. I did like my French Onion soup. The Gumbo was not done properly. Glad we tried it but probably wouldn’t go back.
