Our favorite restaurant in LBK. Always delicious and the kids love heading upstairs for their wonderful selection of desserts after we finish an amazing meal. Will always make a reservation here when we have the chance to visit Longboat. Highly recommend!

This anticipated first visit to this mainstay highly rated restaurant on Long Boat Key, Florida has left me ambivalent at best. That is not to say it was bad. Rather, it was not what I expected for all its hype. The service was good, the atmosphere was decent, and the food was adequate but not for the prices charged. I live in the vicinity and will not be returning nor will I recommend it to my guests.

We have been going to Euphemia Haye for almost 30 years. We celebrate our anniversary there. Unfortunately this year our server was not the best in his class. Our pistachio and crusted snapper was delicious as it always is. However, the.Pad Haye was not quite up to par. The noodles were chewy and the sauce unfortunately tasted like it came out of a jar. I do have to say that the owner took fantastic care of us. And for that reason and for nostalgia sake, we will come back. I do think the service needs to be looked at. After dinner of course there is the Haye Loft upstairs with the always fantastic desserts. These are always a hit and well worth visiting for.

I called the restaurant at 4pm on the 23rd to remind them that it was my husband's birthday and I wanted him to get a desert with a candle. The food was good and the service was okay. However, after our main course, a bill - not a desert - showed up . I asked the waiter if it didn't say on the reservation that it was my husband's birthday. He said it did. So, even if the woman I spoke with hadn't communicated my request, it was noted. I did see them serve a desert with a candle at a nearby table. I was disappointed.

Perhaps this was a one off as we have been here many times. The service was extremely slow and the food was not cooked as ordered. Both of our expensive steaks were overcooked and had to be re done. While I was later informed one of the chefs called out sick, I felt the restaurant could have atleast provided some sort of compensation.

Service was incredibly slow and inattentive, both downstairs and upstairs for dessert. Food was good, but pricey. With this level of pricing we expected decent service.

Euphemia Haye is consistently one of our family's favorite restaurants. The food, atmosphere and service are always wonderful. From the time you are greeted at the door to the time you finish dessert, the staff are attentive to every need. The pepper steak and bananas foster are sublime and must not be missed!
