It was good. We have dined a few times. Food was good, service was ok. Servers could be much more attentive.

After hearing from multiple people, my wife and I were excited to come here for my birthday. A completely underwhelming dining experience. The bread and salads were good. My medium rare steak was medium plus, chewy. The truffle mashed potato’s were alright. My main issues here were the service. 5 minutes waiting at the entrance to be greeted. Waiting 20 minutes for a refill my glass of wine, we just never saw our waiter. We had wanted dessert, as it was my birthday, and when we asked our waiter, we were told to cash out and go to the “dessert room”, which was just a room with pies. We told the girl upstairs what we had wanted and were told to sit down and somebody would be right with us to take our order. Another period of waiting and nobody showed so we left…. Bummed out, this was not worth $200+

Duck and peppercorn steak are world class. Best caesar salad you will have. Love this place and have for over 20 years!

We have been going to Euphemia since 1982. It used to be very special - I think it used to be the best restaurant in North America. Their dessert upstairs was always a peaceful ending to a great meal. Unfortunately the food has become tired and not as good as it used to be and upstairs is always beyond crowded, loud and offers very slow and overworked staff. What historically was a peaceful elegant evening has just become an evening of frustration over the past few years - culminating tonight in just a busy mess. Tonight my daughter and I were taken upstairs with 10 other diners after dinner and it was like a Busch Gardens line at the dessert counter. Why not take each of the four tables upstairs separately and make it special rather than a 12 person caravan? Ultimately after sitting at our table for 15 minutes with no one waiting on us we left. Dessert upstairs was originally done due to needing capacity downstairs but now that you can eat a complete meal upstairs why not just serve dessert downstairs also and have fine dining downstairs and casual upstairs. As it stands now it's just a mess. Definitely at a crossroads here - return to elegant peaceful dining or just simply cater to the masses - I think they have chosen the latter. I could not be more disappointed.

The restaurant is in a old house on Long Boat Key. There is a big parking lot in the rear. The restaurant is much bigger than it looks. Enjoyed an elegant dinner with my wife. We had excellent drinks, martinis and old fashion. The fried green tomatoes were very good with a slight spicy taste. We enjoyed out Waldorf salad before dinner. I had the house speciality, the duck. It was really good, probably one of the best I've had before and I love duck. My wife greatly enjoyed her veal. We were so full we skipped the desert experience on the second floor. We have heard it is like the experience at Burns in Tampa but will need to experience on our next visit.

This is the best restaurant in the area. High class service, the best steak restaurant I’ve ever had. I’ll be here whenever in the area.

Dinner was an outstanding experience on our first night back to Longboat Key. The area has been devastated by the recent hurricanes but inside the restaurant, all was peaceful, delicious and so enjoyable. We are so happy that Euphemia Haye has survived and we hope that it continues to thrive. Well worth a visit!
