    Dined here many time over the years. Not sure when I last reviewed so here is an update. If I had to pick one single word to describe Volos it would be RELIABLE. I come here for pre-theatre/opera and ballet. So a lot. And they have never let me down. Nor my guests. Generally unhurried despite the 90 minute policy for pre-opera/ballet. Comfortable seating in what is normally a quiet setting which allows easy conversation. Sometimes there is the inevitable party group but not often IME. The menu doesn't change much apart from the specials and there is reason for that - they are indeed very good at their classic dishes. Yesterday I was taking a friend to the musical Tina and were able to have a great catch up for a couple very leisurely hours. We shared the always excellent grilled not coated calamari to start it was still excellent. My guest had her gluten free needs very capably taken care of and ate a very good adapted sea bass. Our waitress was outstandingly knowledgeable on how to check everything - even the salad dressing - and helped in every way. I was very tempted to have the rack of lamb special but did not want that much meat. So had tiger shrimp pasta which was excellent but had forgotten how much pasta comes with it and left much on the plate. No criticism here, just a faulty memory. As usual - even after break after being away for a while - this place retains its well deserved "GOOD OLD RELIABLE" sobriquet for me. Recommend.

    Tous les produits sont frais et goûteux Le flétan dans le bouillon aromatisé au Ouzo est fantastique. Le baklava était par contre moyen. Restaurant à recommander!

    A bit surprised that water for the table costed $9 and I was not informed or saw it on the menu prior to being offered water. It was also $9 for one bottle which is interesting. We got the warm seafood salad and the lamb shank. The lamb was cooked to perfection, with lovely sides. The seafood salad was less so. The salmon was burnt at the edges and on the bottom, tasting a tad bitter. The shrimps were over seasoned and overly salty. I got the Greek Margarita which was lovely. Staff were also good.
