    The lady serving was very nice, but unfortunately the tasting sushi menu was not good at all. I would not recommend this restaurant as there are so many delicious Japanese restaurants with excellent sushi in London, and this is not one of them.

    We have been coming here for years but unfortunately are under new ownership. The menu is different and the food does not compare to what it used to be. The quality of the fish is not as fresh and the rolls were full of rice and hardly had any fish. We will not go back, it was very bad.

    It just isn't the same anymore. The new owners have changed everything that made this a hidden gem and now serve good but standard over priced West End sushi fare. Gone is the artistry and delicately crafted multi layer bento boxes, hot stones and amazing cocktails - all that made this small restaurant such a gem. Instead there is standard overpriced tasting menus with brasher dishes and a sense that the owners are trying to be everything from Nobu to Roka to a local hole in the wall find. It's such a shame - the food is OK and the Wagu remains delectable but Engawa is like every other corporate Japanese and as such just isn't worth the price anymore

    Decent sushi, but outrageously expensive. The have stopped doing they're bento style lunches, which were the main recent I used to eat there.

    Service and food quality unfortunately changed, which is very sad to see. I would certainly expect more quality service and food compare to value. Shame I was looking forward to go back. There were many downsides, i hope they improve it.

    The restaurant is a bit small and guest couldn’t seat comfortably. Tight spacing and it is totally different from what you saw from the web site. Food was average and honestly my friend and I were expecting a bit more on the Omakase menu. We were still hungry after having the main. Staff was very nice and very helpful which made us feel welcome.
