Situé à l'est, l'Empire Steak House est un restaurant réparti sur deux étages, entouré de banquettes et doté d'un dôme peint à la main. La salle à manger principale peut accueillir plus de 140 convives et est l'endroit par excellence pour l'organisation de repas et de soirées. Même si l'Empire est applaudi pour ses célèbres T-bones vieillis à sec pour deux personnes, les autres plats qui composent son vaste menu sont tout aussi extraordinaires. Il comprend un large éventail de fruits de mer frais, notamment des homards de 1,8 à 2,2 kg. De plus, ce restaurant installé dans la 50ème rue propose des pièces de spécialité, notamment une côte de bœuf Tomahawk, du faux-filet non désossé, du faux-filet cajun non désossé, un double carré de veau et un bifteck d'aloyau gros filet pour deux personnes. Second visit to Empire Steak East after a very positive first experience. Very friendly staff, everything from the appetizers - shrimp cocktail, baked clams - to the main course- porterhouse steak and shrimp scampi - to the side dishes- home fries and cream spinach were all high quality and delicious. Unlike many Manhattan restaurants, there was no pressure to rush things along in order to turn over the table. I will be back again.

The experience was truly amazing, especially the service. All the staff made extra effort to make sure we were happy and taken care off. I like this location because it is also more private and intimate than the one on Times Square. Food was amazing too and so were the cocktails. I am definitely going to be back.

We went to celebrate my granddaughter's 21st birthday and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was beyond fantastic. Really enjoyed our server and we had a great time. We ended the night with all of the servers and the manager coming out to sing happy birthday to my granddaughter with dessert.

As with many steakhouses today, requests for a specific temperature of meat preparation is not met; resulting in have your meal sent back to the kitchen which delays other guests from enjoying their meal. Not Empire Steakhouse. They got it right! And given that they are a midtown Manhattan restaurant, the value for the experience is fantastic. The East 50th Street location is highly recommended.

This is a top quality eatery that is a near perfect dining experience. It lacks for nothing- service is outstanding, ambience luxurious, food is diverse and prepared by chefs with the culinary experience like worlds best. Perhaps a bit picky-My personal taste found the lobster bisque too salty and the chicken parmigiana slightly too cheesy, and the butter for the delicious bread in frozen packets rather than in serving cups. With that said the table was delighted with everything else. Needless to say the dinner is expensive, but considering the enjoyment and excellent value.

I visited with my family of 5, my daughter is gluten free and was told at the entrance by the matra d she would be absolutely fine and to inform the server of her dietry requirements. My daughter asked the server what she could have that was gluten free, she was told the server would go check with the chef and returned to confirm chips were 100% gluten free so my daughter ordered fillet steak and chips with brocoli to then be told as our meals were being served that she could not have chips and only steak with brocoli which just isn't acceptable. Upon complaining the matra d remedied the issue and apologised to me and my wife not my daughter (age 20) by offering a glass of port for me and my wide and remove the service charge, not a single apology directed at my daughter who mas made to feel incredibly anxious and embarrassed during the whole experience. My daughter is an acute diagnised coeliac sufferer meaning just the slightest cross contamination can make her violently sick and with stomach cramps for days. The server seemed to dismiss the communication around gluten free products as not important which resulted in the issues we experienced. Your staff need official training from someone with allergy dietary requirements to understand the importance and consequences of getting it wrong in order to insure a positive and inclusive dining experience. This was a special meal occasion for my wife and children as it was the last full day of our holiday before heading back to the UK but unfortunately was tainted by what should have been a wonderful dining experience in a great setting. The food was tasty as was the wine and a fabulous setting but please heed this message and train your staff.
