L'Emmer & Rye vous propose une cuisine rustique et inspirée des saisons dans le quartier historique de Rainey Street, à Austin, dans l’État du Texas. Premier restaurant américain contemporain de la ville à servir des dim sum dans le cadre de ses repas, il vous permet de les commander directement de chariots ambulants, à partir d'un menu tournant hebdomadaire utilisant des ingrédients locaux de la ferme à la table. Grâce à un moulin, l'Emmer & Rye fait moudre le grain frais du pays tous les jours pour fabriquer son pain, ses pâtes et son dessert. En plus du service de souper, le restaurant est ouvert pour le déjeuner-dîner le week-end et propose des spécialités en fin de soirée le jeudi, vendredi et samedi.

    Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Emmer and Rye! We will feature a 6-course, shared menu that pays homage to the bounty of Texas. Optional wine pairings and supplements will be available to spark your night. Please note: This menu is $150 per person. Our standard a la carte menu will not be available. All checks will include a gratuity of 20%. If you need to modify or cancel your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible. Less than 24 hour notice may result in a $50 cancellation fee per person. We can accommodate most dietary restrictions except for gluten free. Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any dietary restrictions by adding them to the “special request” area. Call us at 512-366-5530 with any questions!

    Great food and drinks. Definitely lives up to the Bib Gourmand designation. I’m happy I tried their food and drinks and will be back.

    Each dish hit the mark in design and execution, from sourdough to dessert. The squash and the gnocochetti were special favourites. Leon at the bar was a pleasure as a server and a tender and all were pros, with a nicely unpretentious style. A bit rushed, perhaps, with the Michelin wave hitting the shore. Kudos to the fine hands on the tiller. Memorable. I might consider reviewing the by-the-glass selection?

    This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but we’ve been disappointed in the last year or two. The food just seems less interesting. Last night we had the carnitas, one of their featured dishes, and found the meat dry and oily at the same time. Our favorite dish was the oysters, which came with smoked trout roe, and we also like the papardele with wagyu beef. The remaining dishes were just a little boring.

    My only complaint was that we had an 8:30 reservation and they were slammed and running behind, so we were seated at 9. That said, they comped us a round of drinks for our patience and from the moment we sat down everything was impeccable. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, generous, and funny. The food was SO GOOD. I look forward to coming back, but who knows how hard it will be to get in going forward now that they have Michelin recognition!! Congrats on a beautiful job, Emmer & Rye!

    Fantastic food. Great ambence. Service was ok, a little slow and not very enthusiastic. Good value for the money. Overall very good!

    We had a delightful dinner . The menu was creative and unique. We especially enjoyed the bread presentation .

    Unfortunately the service we have received was lacking to meet basic standards. We never received water until we asked 3 times. Wine was served after our courses was served. The waitress didn’t know the menu and was unable to answer questions on the menu. Unfortunate experience, we were quite excited to try the food as we heard it was quite good. To be honest the food was good. Nothing out the ordinary

    Dined on the patio for a birthday celebration. Small restaurant and menu but the flavors were robust! Ordered six dishes and all of them were very unique, with few ingredients. My wife and I were blown away by how much flavor came from so few ingredients on the plate. And the service was top notch! It felt like we were attended to by every staff member… and on a Wednesday night! No short comings from Emmer & Rey. Highly recommend!
