Named after Elias (Ely) Shapley of Greenville, Mississippi, Ely’s was established in 2008 with an emphasis on the highest quality beef, seafood, and spirits, while featuring an extensive wine list and friendly professional service. Located upstairs overlooking the Railroad District in Old Town Ridgeland (MS), Ely’s mixes the old with the new, offering time tested dishes in a cozy, upscale, contemporary setting unlike most local steak and seafood restaurants.

Even though we had reservations we had to wait 45 mins past our reservation time to be seated. That caused us to be late on everything the rest of the night. The steaks and fish were very good. ELY’s does not serve baked potatoes. They serve mashed potatoes and place your protein on top of the Mashed Potatoes. Which takes away the great flavor of the steaks and fish. Out server was very polite and prompt. I would rate the overall experience a c+.

Good was exceptional, as always. The steak was cooked perfectly with great seasoning. Spencer, the bartender, was quick, efficient, and made a wonderful mocktail. Kim, the waitress, was timely and personable. The entire experience was amazing!

Made reservations, table was ready on time. Food and drinks were great as always. Service was excellent as well

Noise level was really dependent upon who was at the large table near us. One loud person at the table makes all the difference. I don’t think there is anything the restaurant could do to change that without eliminating the large table. They don’t have many large tables so that’s not likely very practical.

The overall experience was very nice. My main complaint was the cost of a pound of crawfish tails @ $79 per pound. I thought it was priced way too high. I was not informed of the cost until I received my bill.
