Le Elm City Social a été voté le meilleur nouveau restaurant du Connecticut. Le restaurant évoque l'esprit des années 1920, ramenant à la vie des cocktails qui avaient été perdu jusqu'à aujourd'hui. Dans la cuisine, le chef John Brennan vous attire avec un menu inspiré des variations saisonnières proposant des plats réconfortants et savoureux. Le Elm City Social est situé à l'intérieur du bâtiment historique qui abritait autrefois le restaurant Kasey's au début des années 1900. My wife and I went for dinner yesterday June 29, 2024 everything was very nice ambiance great, vibes great, service great, and food was also great. I had Mexican street corn for app and my wife had Tzatziki peppers both were good. She had Po’ Boy trio she said was good. I had the Nashville Hot sandwich. Mid way through eating my sandwich I bit into a piece of hard plastic and it cut my tongue. I told management they comped the entire meal and was very apologetic. Overall the food was good and the atmosphere was great.

7:30p reservation, didn't get food until 9p. Appetizers didn't come until after our entres. We were the only ones in the room at once point so it was hard to understand why the waiter didn't check in on us more, ask for more water, take away empty glasses. We saw 2 mice at one point. It was not the best experience.

We ate outside on front patio - was a good atmosphere, though depending on the wind, cigar smoke from next door wafted by. Great drink menu - plenty of options of mixed drink, beers, and signature cocktails. Food was quite yum too - we I had the Shishido peppers, the fried mushrooms, and the fried Zucchini. I really enjoyed their batter – it was a good balance of crunch and saltiness For entrées, we got a trio of sliders - Salmon, Nashville hot chicken, and cheeseburger. The salmon was just average, a bit oily at times. The chicken was fabulous – a bit of heat, but nothing overwhelming. The cheeseburger came recommended by our service person, and it did not disappoint - The onion jam brought a really nice flavor of the meat My only suggestion for the restaurant would be to improve the tables outside - They were quite low to eat off and we realized afterwards that they were fire tables that must serve Dual purpose.

For brunch service I would have enjoyed more music. The food was amazing & the drinks were delicious.

We were asked to wait upon arrival to be seated…tables had not been cleaned from previous patrons. We were seated 10 minutes later in a back room with two other tables of four. Both of those table’s patrons were so loud it was difficult for my husband and I to have a conversation. Our waitress was quite pleasant and attentive. Our food (cheeseburgers) were cooked to our liking and my truffle parm french fries were quite good. For Dept of Health reasons we will not be returning.

We went for the mother's day brunch. Food was solid but could have been seasoned a bit better, the glass of free Prosecco was deeply appreciated. Our server was nice, but disappeared every now and again (probably due to the busy event, which is understandable, but needs to be noted nonetheless). Overall though, we really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back. The dishes were inventive, the environment was pleasant, and they did a good job overall.

We tried Elm City Social on a Wed., evening, before a show at the College Street Music Theater which is a couple of doors away. Noisy in the back room when we first got there, but as some clients finished and left the volume of sound went down and we could hear the wait staff talking to us. The slider, hand made burgers, were excellent, perfectly made to our order of medium rare. The mahi mahi tacos were good. The special tequila with Ancho Reyes was excellent. We would go back.

Food was very good. Very loud inside though. Service was a little bit slow. Almost felt like they forgot we were there due to being seated in the back of the restaurant
