Le nom « El Tapeo » provient de l'argot du sud de l'Espagne « Vamos de tapeo » qui se traduit par : « Allons manger des tapas ». El Tapeo propose un menu d'authentiques tapas espagnoles avec des petites assiettes et des plats principaux à partager de « style familial ». Le salon propose le même menu « style tapas » dans des petites assiettes à partager. Dans le salon, profitez de spectacles sur scène certains vendredis et samedis soirs accompagnés de cocktails artisanaux, de sangrias maison ou d'excellents vins et champagnes.

Excellent food but ambience needs some attention. One of us ordered the Chicago Restaurant Week menu and one of us ordered 3 items from regular menu. We live tapas and were impressed and admittedly a little surprised by how delicious the plates were. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Just right. Ambience is my only criticism here. The space could’ve been a corporate cafeteria. Also a very echoey space. Would be nice to see warmer lighting and something to dampen conversations happening at the lounge area. Overall, great!

My husband and I decided to El Tapeo out for restaurant week. Frankly, we were extremely disappointed in our experience. While we understand how tapas style plates work, that’s fine with us. Not once, but twice a dish we did not order was brought to us (we declined both times) while we waited for our actual dish fish to come out. I had to ask our server twice if it was actually coming out. For references it was a brussel sprout dish, which I imagine doesn’t take 45 minutes to make. It finally came out after we finished our entire meal, without a single apology or notice aside from “it’s still coming.” The experience was underwhelming to say the least

Great staff, Krystal was so kind! Food was just okay, and the ambience overall could have been better. Better music, better lighting etc. felt like a hotel.

Loved it!! I didn’t expect to find good Spanish food in the suburbs, and I was so wrong. Totally exceeded my expectations. The paella diablo & queso de cabra were my favorite dishes.

Been going here over multiple years, bacon wrapped dates are by far the best. Each experience was outstanding and as time goes on, quality stays on point.

I visited el tapeo with my sisters. We had a great time the ambiance is very nice we had the sangria which was great . The only thing we say is the Gambas should not be Tapas and please serve the gambas with the garlic aioli. We will be retuning again to enjoy. Our waitress was a little confused on the promotion but she was attentive .

I rarely rate a restaurant this bad but since the moment we arrive the experience was just bad experience. Hostess was probably having a bad day, very bad attitude, waitress were nice. The carpet was very dirty, at least under our table, food from previous customer probably. We arrived with a toddler and had to ask and get the high chair by myself. Very basic breakfast menu, food was ok. Restaurant it’s inside a hotel so nothing beyond from a common hotel restaurant. That was my mistake, to think the restaurant was independent, I was very embarrassed for taking my family there for an anniversary celebration. Unfortunately I can’t recommend.

Overall, a decent experience. Food was good but not overwhelmingly so. Service was very slow overall - our first tapas came before our cocktails. It also took us a long time to be waited on or even greeted. Seems like a staffing issue. Lastly, the wine prices were absurd given the 4 ounce pour they give. Should be 6 oz as standard. I would go back for ambience but nothing here knocked my socks off.

Kind of a hidden gem tucked inside the hotel. We were really impressed with the food, so many delicious plates. Absolutely will return.
