Orné d'une superbe décoration murale peinte à la main de 51 x 152 cm et proposant l'une de plus belles terrasses et l'une des meilleures listes de cocktails de la ville, cet authentique restaurant mexicain à l'ambiance animée et au personnel sympathique est assuré d'être un succès. Le chef Le Calvez, qui a quitté Mexico, adore proposer aux habitants de Toronto ses saveurs fraîches typiques de la célèbre cuisine de son pays natal.

We brought family who is visiting from England to the Distillery. No visit to the Distillery is complete without a meal at El Catrin. They loved absolutely everything... ambiance outside on a gorgeous day, took pictures of the incredible inside, food was amazing and service always fabulous. In fact, they said it was the best Mexican food they have ever had! No surprise. Thank you for making it memorable for our guests to Toronto.

We had good servers but they were clearly understaffed, resulting in errors, slow and inconsistent service. We were four people and we each had the tasting menu. We asked for salt but waited over 5 minutes for it. We did not get the hot sauce we requested until after we had finished the courses we needed it for. There was a mix up with the wines we ordered where they were not sure which ones they had served us. When we got the bill, we were charged for both, one of which was $2 more than the other. We thought they should have charged us for the lower priced option since they didn’t know which ones we got. The churros were room temperature and too oily - we couldn’t eat them. The dirty plates from previous courses remained on the table too long. The whole experience was so disappointing.

We take great pride in providing our guests with 5-star service that starts from the moment you walk in. You shouldn't have had to wait long for salt and hot sauce and for that, we deeply apologize. We encourage guests to let a manager know when anything about the experience is missing the mark — we know it can feel a little awkward, but we genuinely believe that our guests deserve the chance for us to make things right. Julio’s service was excellent , food was so so, great margaritas and sitting outside with the fire and top heaters… excellent!

The Margarita flight was a great choice! We found the fish tacos to be the better choice among the rest.

The waitress was very slow at taking our order and then forgot one of the starters. Once the food came, it was quick. They are supposed to be known for their guacamole which lacked salt and was not properly blended or mushed. It was very bland for the price and the chips tasted stale.
