Formerly known as the Red Rose restaurant, Eastern Cuisine is a bright and busy curry house on Gipsy Hill in Crystal Palace. Regarded by locals as one of the best takeaway restaurants in the neighbourhood, Eastern Cuisine also has a clean and modern dining room which is a great spot for casual meals and group dining. Decorated in vibrant orange hues, this space has a great feel-good factor and the menu doesn’t disappoint. Don’t miss the mango chicken curry with fresh mango and coconut with a touch of cream; the delicious peshwari nan bread filled with almonds, coconut and sultanas; and the special shatkora lamb flavoured with tangy Bangladeshi lemons.

we tried some new dishes last week and they were all as fab as our regular choices. they're all lovely. and the staff will do doggy bags if you overorder as we often do. one meal can become two or even three as the portions are very generous - something that doesn't always go hand-in-hand with food that is so well presented.

Has changed hands and been renamed, but a good local Indian. Still BYO which makes it a cheap night! Good service and was like private dining as we were the only table in there on a Saturday night! Most of their business is take away.
