Short rib and scallop entrees were very bland. Sauces were tasteless. The 3.94% administrative fee for credit card is unacceptable. They do disclose it, but it still a rip-off. Menu needs to be updated.

Reception staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We sat outside which was clean and lovely, except for all the dogs that are now allowed at so many restaurants. I wish restaurants would not give in to the pressure of allowing animals where people are dining. If we had known that we would be next to so many dogs, we would have dined inside. The dogs were large, intimidating and barking. I think staff should remind people upon arrival that dogs are allowed at outdoor dining. Otherwise, staff was attentive and the food was delicious. We especially loved the blueberry lemon ice tea.

We started with shrimp cocktail and little neck clams so fresh and was a great starter. Dinner we had steak frites it was cooked to perfection. We also tried the refresher the mint julep and the pear were so delicious. Then dessert we had a chocolate ice cream with pretzels it was so satisfying and a great end to the meal. Are waitress was fantastic also.

The food and service are not the issue. This restaurant will pass an operational expense to the customer. When paying with an ATM/DEBIT card additional percentage is added to the customer check. Either you accept visa or you dont. I deducted the fees from the gratuity. I am sure other may do the same. TO: The owner/operational manager you are only hurting your staff when you gouge the customer.

My family and I had dinner this evening. The restaurant is updated,soothing and inviting. Our food was as described and very good. Lastly the service was excellent! We will definitely visit again.

What a disappointment! Came here for my birthday dinner, which I mentioned in the reservation. 2 people in our group got the she-crab bisque, which they thought was fantastic. But dinner is where it really failed. My short ribs were dry and chewy, one person’s scallops were burnt, and the rigatoni the remaining 2 guests ordered were overcooked and spicy (no mention of that in the description). On top of nothing (aside from the bisque) having any taste, the waitress Leslie was not nice - at all - and that’s coming from NYers. Icing on the cake was my birthday not being acknowledged, even though the table 20 feet away got a piece of cake with a candle. This is how Earl’s treats guests of the inn? There are other great restaurants with friendly service in the area; don’t waste your time here.
