              We had the worse experience at Duke's today. We waited and waited for our food to come out. Our waiter was nice and kept apologizing for the "mess in the kitchen" and that he hoped our food would be out soon. After 45 minutes had passed, we finally told our waiter that we could not wait any longer. He said he was going to check on it. Soon a woman approached us and with no apology, she said our order should be out soon. We saw numerous tables where people were getting served their food who were seated well after us. We mentioned this to the woman (who we suspect may have been a manager) and she said she would comp our meal. After another nearly 10 minutes, nobody bothered to update us so we got up and found our waiter and I gave our waiter $15 to cover the $10 drink plus a tip and told him we were out of there. We are locals who live in Kapalua and we will NEVER return to Dukes nor will we recommend it.

              I brought my granddaughter (visiting me from Oahu) and sister for hula pie and ended up ordering food also. Seated on time with reservation. Emily was awesome! Live music and views were fantastic. Really enjoyed our experience!

              Took 1hr 15 minutes to get our food. I beleive that to be unacceptable at what is suppose to be a top rated restaurant.

              Service was exceptional. Food was ok. Typical of Maui restaurants. Nice cocktail selection. Great ambiance and location.

              Maui is beautiful but still working though successive crises. Duke’s seems to have been hit hard. Food portions have shrunk and now half the size of fresh tacos at Paiolo at Westin Villas North.

              The service was very slow. More than island slow bordering on rude. The food was delicious. The wait for the bill was extensive. The waiter refused to make eye contact and never gave us an itemized bill. He just picked up the payment method and returned with the slip to add tip and sign. The view was amazing. The food was delicious but the balsamic glaze for the avocado toast was swirled in the plate and none in the food. The granola only had a trace amount of yogurt. I wouldn’t know it was there except for the white color. The eggs Benedict was done as ordered.

              Duke’s is a great place to have dinner while in Kaanapali/Lahaina. The service is always great, as is the food and wine selection. The Furikake Ahi Steak was amazing, and so was the Rocket salad. The wedge salad was very average and the seafood risotto would have been amazing if it wasn’t drowning in cream. The seafood in it was great but all the cream took away from the enjoyment. The gluten free dairy free pie made with breadfruit was absolutely amazing, even for my husband who doesn’t eat gluten or dairy free. We enjoyed it even though we were very full from dinner!
