Beautiful restaurant in the museum with great tasting middle eastern dishes. The service was very friendly and professional. They couldn't do enough!

This restaurant is situated in what seems like the middle of the Aga Khan Museum compound. The restaurant is a lovely mix of comfortable contemporary furniture with antique Middle Eastern architectural features. With no background music playing in the restaurant and two walls having floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Aga Khan grounds, and reflection pools, you are able to converse and connect with your dinner partner, in a serene setting. As for the service, a gentlemen came out to meet me and my partner when we arrived and didn't have clue what direction we should go. He was pleasant and wonderfully polite. I ordered the Beef Rogan Josh with Lavender Rice. I grew up eating rice every day and today love eating sushi. This was the best rice I've ever eaten. Lovely color, great texture and incredible flavour. The Beef Rogan Josh gravy, was beautifully flavoured, with nice bite size chunks of very tender beef. My partner ordered the Salmon Curry with Kiribath. This is 'essentially', a nice cut of salmon cooked to perfection, delicately seasoned, sitting in a bed of white rice in a curry sauce. We were both very badly with the mask, the setting and service. We'll be coming back and take in the Museum as well. It closes at 5pm and our dinner was 8pm.

My husband and I had the Summerlicious menu. It was excellent. The food was delicious, and the service was superb. Diwan has a nice drink selection, too. We will be back. Thank you.

Have eaten at the Diwan a number of times for special occasions. Great atmosphere and very good food. Totally enjoyable.

This is a lovely place to visit and have lunch. Open space between tables, attractive scenery, attentive service without any pressure, excellent food for those who appreciate a complexity of spices and worldly cuisine. Not inexpensive but fairly priced.
