After reading some earlier reviews we were concerned that there had been a downturn from our previous experiences. The chicken Summerlicious dinner was a bit of a disappointment but otherwise the appetizers and main courses and desserts were very good.

I had reservations through open table but when we arrived the receptionist seem to have trouble looking for our reservation and told us to wait 5 minutes. We hung around the area but after 5 minutes and she had not called us we approached her again. I was disappointed that she didn’t recognize us so I repeated that we had reservations for 1:15. It was then 1:25. That’s when she found our reservation. When we got to our table, the server after seating us and asked if we wanted any water, then never came back with our water. Another server noticed that we have not been served and filled our glasses with water. The service though polite was lacking in efficiency.

It was super hot inside Diwan. The AC was on but the large window was open so it was super hot and humid in there. It did ruin my experience as I just wanted to quickly get out of there. There were also a lot of flies in the restaurant because the window was open. The food was okay for summerlicious. Nothing too exciting.

Always delicious! Our first time outside on the patio. Everything was serene . The DVP was a little louder than I expected but not enough to spoil anything.

Three of us were there for a summer-licious lunch. It was very nice sitting out on the patio, even though the dining room is lovely. Unfortunately, the food was nothing special. The first ingredient in the kale Caesar was halloumi but there was very little if any. The lamb samosas and chicken main dish were both surprisingly bland. The mango sorbet for dessert was quite tasty but heavier than most sorbet. The lavender cheesecake was okay but had very little taste of lavender. We had two of the different non-alcoholic lemonades. The thyme lemonade was quite good but the watermelon lemonade was not. The servers were friendly and tried but did not seem well trained or experienced. Even allowing that it was a discounted summerlicious menu, if that is how the rest of the food tastes we would not go back.

This was a very disappointing experience. I've been going to Diwan for Summerlicious for years now. It used to be good, but now it's subpar, less than mediocre. I will not return. Just like a lot of other patrons it would seem - the restaurant has always been full in previous years; yesterday it was half-empty.

Very imaginative and creative menu. It cannot be categorized under any specific ethnic category because of the various cultural influences. The serving staff were extremely attentive and obliging. The decor and crockery were beautifully period. Overall, a great experience
