I made a reservation for dinner at Devon after getting an e-mail blast about the return of a special they had offered before...lobster fish and chips. It is two fried lobster tails with fries and a salad as a starter. I got the e-mail on Nov 4 and made a dinner reservation for Nov 5. I put in the reservation that I was looking forward to the lobster fish and chips. Upon arrival with my guests, I asked our waiter about the special and he informed me they were not offering it. You can imagine my dismay, because I had invited my friends, informing them about this special offering. We all ordered from the standard menu, but I would not have made the 40min drive from my home to the restaurant on a Tuesday night for the standard menu. Unfortunately, it also appears the restaurant is closing at the end of December. Hmmm.

The restaurant was slammed on a Saturday night...and it showed. The biscuits for the table were great, as were the tempura cauliflower bites and the Greek salad. Everything else deserved additional attention from the kitchen. I would recommend seeking seating toward the front of the restaurant for views and better temperature control.

We had a wonderful time. Our server was excellent. The food was delicious. The food came out very quickly too.

Excellent experience. Food was perfect, wine was great, and service was outstanding. View of the park was a bonus.
