We were just 15 mins late and they didn’t have a table for us, they offered no assistance to help. My mom is in a walker and we had kids with us. And my sisters birthday. I was shocked and disappointed will not being going there.

Sat for an hour waiting for service. Arrived at 5:20 PM sat there till 6:20 pm. All that was given to us were our drinks and hard very uncooked Brussels sprouts that were definitely not worth 16 dollars. I was so disappointed as it was my mom’s birthday and we had no choice but to leave due to poor service and food. Absolutely horrible. Keep in mind there was only 1 other table that was occupied and some gentleman at the bar and that was it so it was pretty slow. The manager seemed to not care how upset I was. I would never recommend this restaurant.

Terrible experience! Had a reservation before our polar express train ride. After 20 minutes with no drinks or bread, I flagged someone down (not our waitress). She apologized, grabbed our drinks and brought us bread. I asked her if a little over a hour was enough time to order, get our food and make it to the polar express train ride. She assured me it was fine. She flagged down our waitress, who finally took our order. After waiting 1/2 hour, our waitress came to our table and said she was ready to take our order. We informed her that she already did… a1/2 hour ago!! With a panicked look, she ran off to the kitchen. (I suspect she never placed our order.). After 45 minutes, we were told our food was in the back and would be out in a couple minutes. After 10 more minutes, we had to cancel our order and leave hungry. Absolutely unacceptable!

We dined on a Monday so everything was very quiet. DH ordered chowder followed by porkchop which was juicy and flavorful. Shared brussel sprouts. I got flat iron - rare - with risotto. Everything was cooked perfectly. If we were to find flaws it would be the scant amount of sauteed spinach served (which is odd given cheapest thing on the plate) but the other portions were fine. Can't beat the boat ambience. Spent the meal watching the seals squabble on the dock on the other side of the river. Highly recommend in Dec where you can walk off your meal watching the Old Sac Christmas light display.

It’s always nice to step aboard the DK. Food is good, people are friendly, the river is visually freeing.

The service was very casual, out of order and chaotic. Food and drinks were brought late and to the wrong tables. All of our items (cocktails, appetizers, wine, entrees) were either late, forgotten or poorly timed. We weren’t checked on during our meal. We had to ask the bread and water servers for help. This was supposed to be a fine dining, white table cloth experience to celebrate a special occasion and instead our experience didn’t match the atmosphere or price point. The service lacked refinement and elegance. These things can and should be taught. If they elevate the training in their servers it will improve the experience. We mentioned this to their new manager as we were leaving and she said to post a review of our experience otherwise she’s powerless to make any change.

They seemed to be understaffed at first, we had small children and waited a very long time for anything but once they started moving, things started coming out but it was getting to that point. Other tables felt bad for us because they knew we had small kids getting antsy. The waitress was nice and apologetic once she came along.

Pilothouse restaurant was fantastic. Start with the Delta King just from a historical and ambiance perspective and it was so cool. We sat at the bar and researched the history while having a drink waiting for our table. Staff was amazing and saw to it we were taken care of from start to finish. Food was fantastic and just the overall experience was pretty great. My youngest daughter is super into the history of old places and the potential for paranormal (ghosts) and this place doesn’t disappoint! Perfectly made dirty martini and old fashions by the bar. We loved the mahi mahi and the braised short rib pasta. Great experience thank you!

Took my team out for a celebration dinner following a conference presentation - while overall the experience was nice, there was the matter of one member of our party having to wait because of an error on the input of their order: they ordered the exact same item as another party member, which was read back correctly, but received an entirely different item on first attempt. When the server was informed, there was a little too much ... personality ... in the response, as though it was somehow our fault. The request was simply to replace the meal with the correct item. It didn't require any additional demonstration on the part of staff, especially when it sounds like it was in input error or something in the kitchen - we weren't upset with the server, until we were made to feel like we were the ones at fault, and the bit of a cold shoulder from that point on was hard to miss. Again, overall - food was fine, ambience a little noisy given the "entertainment" upstairs (who needs to adjust for the key that they ought to sing in to avoid straining for a note), and we still had an enjoyable time all things considered.
