Our hostess/waitress was pleasant, attentive, and regular- for the few visits we make here, she’s always there; good for keeping up local practice and relationships. Our food was excellent: I had the calamari steak for the first time, and if I hadn’t had the chicken fingers before, I would’ve sworn that’s what had been brought to me. Thick, well breaded and fried, nicely seasoned pieces on a bed of lettuce was too much with the cup of French onion soup I had. Now the soup today was more of bread, onions and cheese with about 3 tablespoons of soup. Not bad in flavor, but very thick, almost soggy. The cousin had the double cheeseburger and fries and, growing boy he still is, finished it all. Mother Dearest had a cranberry pecan salad- perfect for fall. We ladies also had drinks for the first time here and it was half off martinis (usually $14, today was $7). I had an Orange Dream that was creamy, not as sweet as VA Beach, but was darn potent off if 2 sips. MD had a Slick Willie- sweeter, tangier, and also goes down easily. Enjoyable day for an unplanned lunch out at a nice, familiar cheap and cheerful.

Another great meal at one of our favorite Indy spots! We always enjoy the food and the friendly staff. Love supporting this family owned restaurant!

Excellent service and very delicious food! Steak Susan was very tasty with mushrooms and Demi glaze and the steak medallions were very tender. Deb had pot roast which she stated was very good!

Finally made it to Dawson’s! Such a great place and will definitely return. We enjoyed the French onion soup, fish n chips and beef stroganoff. Was hoping the stroganoff noodles were more of an “Amish” style fatter noodle but the dish was quite tasty. Will return with friends soon!

This was our first time to visit Dawson's. From entering the front door to our greeting by our server everything was excellent. Haley was our server, she was personable and knowledgeable, we were extremely pleased and "We will definitely be back".

Excellent food and service. Cocktails were best we'd had in a long while and our server went above and beyond to make sure our food was made to avoid our various food allergies. We highly recommend!
