Au DaiLo, bien manger, c’est bien vivre ! Et ici, la manière de cuisiner reflète clairement la manière d’envisager la vie. Les ingrédients, de grande qualité et minutieusement sélectionnés, mènent à de délicieux repas, et finalement, à de meilleures existences. La nouvelle cuisine asiatique que propose le restaurant se concentre essentiellement sur les produits chinois, tout en suivant la tradition française. Au cœur du menu, vous ressentirez un respect et un amour profonds pour la nourriture, portés par le chef Nick Liu. Ses ancêtres ont dégusté avant lui les recettes avec lesquelles il travaille, pendant des centaines d’années. Les anciens plats de prédilection de cette époque là ont été revisités par le chef Liu, qui y a ajouté sa petite touche personnelle. Ils ont été adaptés à la demande moderne, qui souhaite souvent se nourrir à base d’ingrédients locaux, produits dans le respect d’une agriculture durable.

De la cuisine à l'ambiance, DaiLo est un lieu audacieux et animé. Le chef et propriétaire Nick Liu mélange les techniques culinaires françaises avec son héritage chinois pour créer des plats amusants tout en mettant en valeur ses talents culinaires. Cet espace branché attire une foule animée pour des soirées qui commencent par un dîner au DaiLo et se terminent au Lopan, le bar à cocktails situé à l'étage.

Food and service were outstanding. Server was very knowledgable toward both beverages and food items. Servers were also extremely attentive - I did not have to ask for another drink, water, cutlery or a plate change. Value - IMO could be better. My partner and I opted for the $130pp tasting menu. Everything was delicious and was plated spectacularly. Our only wish was that we left feeling more full. Portion sizes were somewhat small for us having spent $260 on just food alone. Otherwise, absolutely no complaints. 100% would go back but my partner and I agreed to do à la carte next time as we're hoping it's more bang for your buck.

After 10 years, Dailo is still one of the best restaurants in Toronto. The food is always imaginative, well executed and delicious. The staff are wonderful. The room is comfortable and classy. The cocktails are one of a kind and pack a punch. Thank you, Dailo, for a great 10 years.

we had the surprise menu. amazing start, taste explosions constantly. wow, wow, wow. all the courses where outstanding..... waiter knew what he was doing, helping out and gave great advice. an absolute must go for restaurant. small minuses: last course was big chicken.... not super special. deserts, don't take. you will get a sad feeling instead of best feeling since all dinner was great!

I was super excited about the restaurant but honestly, I don’t understand the hype around it. The food is good but I was expecting more complex layered flavors for the hype/price. A good one time experience. It definitely didn’t make my Toronto must try list.

It was amazing. We got the premium tasting menu with wine pairing. We didn't know what to expect but just heard great things about the restaurant. It might be the best tasting menu my husband and I have ever tried. Even the couple next to us started talking to us just to discuss how great the food is! We can't get over the creativity and flavor profile each course offered! It was so balanced in size, flavor complements, and textures! It was aaahhhhmmmaaazing I cannot stress that enough!

Amazing meal!!!! Highly recommend if this is a restaurant you’ve been considering. We sat upstairs which is a nice space, only thing that could be improved was the temperature - it was super cold (air con). We did the premium DaiLo chefs choice tasting menu and every dish was tasty and fresh, with variety of proteins and flavors. 10/10

We both had the upgraded tasting menu. The food was exceptional and the service friendly and attentive. The meal was on the expensive side for us, but worth the splurge for our special occasion. We sat upstairs for our meal. The start was quiet enough for easy conversation but became noisy as the restaurant filled. Overall a delightful experience. We will go back to try some of our favourite dishes a la carte!

We opted for the premium tasting menu and were very impressed!! It’s amazing quality and quantity for the money. The servers are super attentive and explain each dish to you. Was a great way to celebrate a special occasion! We are stuffed!
