Da Capo contemporary interpretations of Italian classics are always made to order from scratch. Our seasonal menu highlights the quality of the freshest ingredients from local farms and our New York Style thin crust pizza is already a favorite all over Litchfield County. The casual setting and inviting atmosphere created by the real tin ceilings, exposed brick, soft lighting and a taste from the past brought to you by the local historical photos makes da Capo a favorite destination for a delicious dining experience. Da Capo brings to Connecticut a recipe found in Little Italy in the early 1900's: "Authentic New York Style Thin Crust Pizza". Appetizers were amazing, we got fried zuchinni, pizza and meatballs. For our entrees, family style portions were a little too much. Eggplant rollatini, chicken Marsala and clams with Linguini were solid

I have dined at da Capa many times mostly for lunch and there has been consistently very bad service. Last night I made a reservation, we arrived a little early but were cheated promptly. After placing a drink order, we soon noticed that we were at a table right in front of the front door. Everytime the door opened ( which is frequent in a restaurant on Nee Years Eve!) we were hit with a rush of VERY cold air. I finally got the hostess’s attention and asked if we could be moved ( my wife is handicapped) . The hostess responded that ALL tables were booked and we would have to remain at that table. The hostess was abrupt and unfriendly. After a brief discussion we decided to leave. As we were leaving our waitress FINALLY brought out drinks and then proceeded to try to get us to stay and they would switch tables, and then got RUDE when we declined. I have found the service dilatory at best consistently over the last few years. They are not trained and seem to hang out in the kitchen because one can look around and NOT see ANYONE on the floor. One time about a month ago I finally got up and went to the front desk to ask for some service! I probably will not return. It is apparent that the management has no idea of how to train and manage the front of the house. The food is good to excellent but the service is terrible!

Went for an early NYE dinner. Food came out quickly and everything was excellent! Highly recommend to pork tenderloin with peach reduction. Also DaCapo chips for a starter and ricotta toast are soooo good!

Everything was perfect! We had the Toscana salad, the dressing is amazing. Meatballs and sauce delicious. Risotto perfect! Left so full!

We hadn’t been back to DaCapos in quite awhile and we’re glad we returned! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great! The only suggestion I would make is to spread the tables out a bit. People were squeezed into the dining room which made it feel like you were too close to other patrons. We will return again in the future.

Great food and staff is very nice. The food was outstanding will return. I had the chicken Cesar the romaine were fresh and chicken had a nice grill. The pizza with pepperoni and hot oil was amazing. My father in law had the lasagna was fresh and nice big portion. Desert was fresh had the tiramisu was fresh and excellent.
