Welcome to the Cypress Room restaurant, where oceanfront dining meets southern charm and hospitality at it's finest! The Cypress Room's floor-to-ceiling windows offer a spectacular view of the palm tree lined ocean front. We proudly offer a menu of "New American" Cuisine with a southern flair, created by our award-winning Chef, Mike McKinnon. All food is prepared in house and to order with the finest fresh local ingredients. The Cypress Room is an up-scale casual and family friendly restaurant with live entertainment and a full service bar and cocktail lounge boasting an extensive selection of domestic and imported wines. The Island vista Resort offers several venues for private dining/event space for parties over 15. We have a 2000 sq foot Meeting/Ballroom, private suites for smaller meetings, functions as well as outdoor oceanfront space. Parties from 15 to 150 people please contact our on site sales department

Parking is offered in front of entrance area of property as well as across the street. We also welcome parking, at no charge in one of two covered parking garages that are located right on the property.
Public transit
The Cypress Room at the Island Vista Resort is included on stops for Myrtle Beach Trolley that travels and makes stops on Ocean Blvd. every 45 minutes during peak season.

In season we proudly present live vocal/guitar stylings of our own Glen Taylor, entertaining weekends during off season and nightly during peak season.

The best service we’ve had in a long time, very nice environment. Food was good but not as good as I was hoping. Had a Caesar salad with salmon but didn’t have much dressing on it and the croutons were so big and hard you couldn’t hardly eat them. Otherwise food was okay.

Very average meal. Nothing was horrible but nothing stood out. For the price not worth it at all. Staff would require some training in proper service etiquette. Loud personal conversations are not what guests want to hear. There’s an automatic 20% service charge added to the bill. Beware as this level pf service and food do not merit this automatic charge.

Food was excellent and we had a table next to the windows therefore a view of the ocean and beach. Parked across the street at the electronic meters, which wasn’t too pricey, public parking. There was a musician playing classic rock which was quite enjoyable. Please note that the restaurant is in a condo style building therefore it felt a little like eating in a hotel restaurant. Again, the food was excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Cypress Room. The view is just incredible as it offers oceanfront dining. Anthony was our server, and he was so attentive to every detail. We tried a fabulous refreshing beverage called a Watermelon Drop. It was so delicious. I would highly recommend it for summer. Also, the chef's special was amazing. My sister turned 60 and they even gave her a Cypress Room chocolate bar. A grand time was had by all! I would highly recommend this place to locals and tourists alike!

We had a reservation. First, no server was assigned to our table so after 15 minutes of no one asking our drink order we had to get up and ask the hostess who our server was. Then, another 5-10 before that server came to us and took our drink orders. We had him take our food orders right then and there because we were ready. Then, another 15 minutes for side salads to arrive (still no drinks). Salads were finished and drinks finally showed up. Another long wait for entrees and no one was impressed but we were starving. The kids meal was two chicken tenders and 10 French fries. They were still hungry and ate some rolls. The manager did at least make sure our smallest child’s meal was brought out asap because of the wait. They gave us 10% off after all of this…but we won’t be back. It was not busy. Half the restaurant was empty and lots of people standing around. Lots of bus boys and they didn’t clear our dishes or refill waters.

Celebration for my mom’s 75th. We traveled from Colorado to Augusta to Mrtyle and saw this listed on the top places to visit. Everything was just fine or just ok not as lush as one would have hoped especially when you end up paying over $300.
