CUT Steakhouse offers a relaxed fine dining experience sure to please the most sophisticated of diners. Our menu's main attraction is the dry aged USDA prime beef, aged and butchered in-house by our own exacting specifications. Start your evening with a glass of award-winning wine or perhaps a popular Steak Ale. From our menu, savour a dry-aged New York Striploin, delicious Porterhouse, Kobe rib-eye or local filet mignon, all cooked to your specifications. Finish off with an amazing sampling of fine cheeses, a specialty liqueur and a decadent dessert. Downstairs, The Grill at CUT features a fun and funky atmosphere, perfectly paired with a gourmet burger menu with your choice of sophisticated toppings and sides. Take a seat in the large, comfortable bar area overlooking the open kitchen or outside on our beautiful patio overlooking the Halifax waterfront.

    Service, ambience, atmosphere and the food. Couldn’t have asked for or expected any better than what we received. The dessert with Happy Anniversary written on the plate for us was a very special and appreciated touch. Thank you to all the servers and chefs for a great experience.

    It is a great place to indulge in the finest steak in the province and Canada. The staff set the gold standard in experience, and it is one of my favourite places to dine near the waterfront. Yes, you will pay a pretty penny, but we live once and is totally worth it

    We had a great experience! Staff were friendly and informative easily able to answer all our questions. Food was amazing. Best Wagu I’ve ever tasted. We’ll be back!

    The best steak we have ever had. We had a selection of PEI Blue Dot tenderloins and an Australian AA9 wagyu boneless ribeye. Quite easily the best steakhouse in Canada. Well worth the visit, with something to please everyone! Amazing sides as well, with perfectly prepared vegetables.

    My Girlfriend and I went to celebrate our anniversary and both the service and the food was amazing! we were given a glass of Prosecco on the house which was completely unexpected, but it made the night so special! The caesar salad, which was made table side was delicious! the oysters were so fresh, and the steak was cooked perfectly. the parsnips, mashed potatoes and crème brûle were all stellar as well! I would definitely recommend this steakhouse to anyone looking for an amazing cut of beef and great ambiance (very intimate).

    We had a wonderful evening celebrating our wedding anniversary ! Everything was absolutely perfect from the service, the atmosphere to the food . We thoroughly enjoyed our special evening at The Cut.

    Restaurant was not staffed correctly. It took a long time for the head waitress to admit that. We waited 56 minutes from seated time to get our salad made table side. That person who made it was covering for the bar. Our entrees arrived 2 hours 12 minutes after being seated. Too many excuses from staff suggesting our table of 6 had a diverse order. Staff needs to be more honest when things go wrong So many good experiences here over last 5 years. Last night was terrible. Management need to rethink their staffing decisions

We were unexpectedly busy for a Tuesday evening with most of our reservations booking the day of. I certainly don't want to give you any more excuses though....the situation should have been handled better by our team and your concerns should have been addressed in a more positive manner.
