Inspired by yakitori izakayas, Big Night is going to be putting seasonal British-ish produce on sticks and cooking it on our charcoal grill. The food will be simple, loud and fun, perfect to be eaten with a beer in hand and friends at your side.The menu will draw on a variety of influences rather than pretending to adhere to the concept of an authentic cuisine (this is not a Japanese restaurant). Modern in its minimalist use of colour and clean lines, the new So Restaurant near Spitalfields market and Liverpool street station is every bit the contemporary Japanese restaurant. Food is always amazing, and so is the service. It was our first time trying the new menu and it was great - loved the new version of Hotate Kataifi!! But we missed the Maguro tataki so much - the experience is always a 10/10, but Holly’s service is just superior and made it even better! It’s the second time we get served by her, and she never misses a single detail, always smiling and attentive, but never intrusive. Definitely one of the reasons why we keep going back to the Shoreditch branch. Looking forward to be back🫶🏻
