Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength. Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. We also received the Thai select award from the UK Thai Embassy which certifies authenticity and the freshness of our ingredients. We’re a young team of enthusiastic individuals, who over the last few years have bought our passion and skills to the table. Parties of six and larger, kindly contact the restaurant directly for reservations. These larger groups will be offered the shared feasting menu only and a deposit of £10 per head needs to be taken to confirm the booking, which will be deducted from your bill.

We believe that Asian food should be clean, fresh and healthy, and that each dish should always be made from scratch.Originally established on the All Saints Road in 1997, ULI became a firm favourite among locals and critics alike. In the Royal Lancaster Hotel, the Nipa Thai restaurant has been named after the original Nipa Restaurant in the Landmark Hotel in Bangkok. Lots of teak panelling, traditional Thai furnishings and artefacts lend an authentic air. All the staff dressed in traditional Thai costume are from Thailand - even the lady chefs. This authentic Thai restaurant is one of the first 15 recipients of the 'Thai Select' award - this award has been described as being the first ever Michelin-style award for Thai restaurants proven to be performing to the highest standards of quality and cuisine, and is awarded by the Thai Government. We think this award sums up Nipa Thai rather nicely. What's cooking? Kai Haw Bai Toey - deep fried marinated chicken in pandanus leaves, Kaeng Kiew Warn Kai - chicken in green curry soup, also recommended the Nipa platter - a selection of the chef's special Thai starters.

Located on Shaftesbury Avenue in the heart of London's West End, Thai Square is a stylish and unique restaurant offering fantastic Thai cuisine. The dining room at Thai Square, which is open until midnight during the week and until 2am Fridays and Saturdays, has a sophisticated bar area opening onto a vaulted, naturally-lit dining room of great style, with granite floors, red and white walls and an imposing golden statue of Buddha – giving the restaurant an uptown ambience. Thai Square also has a small courtyard. Popular for business meetings, Thai Square has an upmarket Thai menu featuring dishes like the grilled lobster with garlic butter, the sea bass rolls served with curry, and the tom kha pla soup – a coconut milk based soup with fish and lemongrass.
