The Hartwood Restaurant enjoys a rich history. The originally the headquarters of the Harmar Coal Company. Purchased in 1988, the building was transformed into retail space, including antiques and a bookstore. Café tables were soon added amongst the book shelves, Over the years, The Hartwood Restaurant has evolved into a charming and unique place for meals, drinks, and events. The elegant dining rooms and a pub featuring hand-tooled woodwork and stained glass artwork.The Hartwood also features outdoor dining in a garden-like atmosphere, complete with a wood burning fireplace. Whisper’s Pub features an eclectic wine list from around the world with more than a dozen different wines by the glass, as well as seasonal cocktails, craft beers, and wine flights. Eighty Acres Kitchen & Bar is a relaxed restaurant featuring New American cuisine with a farm-to-table emphasis. We are a family-owned and operated restaurant, with head chef Don Winkie leading the kitchen. At present, with business hours adjusted due to challenges of re-opening during the pandemic, Eighty Acres Kitchen & Bar is serving a modified brunch, dinner, and take-out Thursday-Sunday from 11:30 am - 9pm. Bella Terra Vineyards re-opened the Wine Cave in fall of 2023 to be a full service restaurant.
