Masuya Restaurant is located in a building, which has been designated as a cultural asset, on O’Connell Street in Sydney. This is the same place as the office of Kanematsu Gosho, the pioneer of Australia – Japan trades, was situated in 1980. Masuya Restaurant opened in 1993, then full renovation was implemented in 2006.The approx. five meters long sushi counter, designed by architect Robert Toland in ‘kabuki red’ with an idea of the stage of kabuki, has since fascinated not only local Australian customers but also various people with different backgrounds.A showcase displays more than 20 different sushi ingredients everyday including locally produced fish, which is purchased on the day. Other carefully selected ingredients are wagyu beef, free-range pork, and seasonal vegetables. We celebrated our anniversary at Clam Bar and had a wonderful experience. Amazing seafood and produce, beautiful interior design and staff who were helpful and knowledgeable with the menu and wine list. We look forward to celebrating at Clam Bar bar again.

We came to Catalina for the first time as a family, to celebrate an 18th birthday & end of HSC and a 16th birthday. The food was amazing and the service was spectacular! We don’t often eat out at high end restaurants, but the waiter made us feel very comfortable, very friendly and explained the menu well. The salmon entree, beef fillet main and lemon tart were absolute standouts for me. We will definitely return for a special occasion again!

The food was exceptional – authentic Italian flavors that transported us straight to Italy. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the wood-fired pizza was simply divine. The wine selection complemented our meal perfectly, and the desserts were the perfect ending to a fantastic evening.
