The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea. The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to. Alongside our a la carte menu we have a bar snack menu that not only runs all day, everyday but also contains such pub classics. A pub in the modern sense of the word. We have a bar area and a dining room, we serve food from a menu that changes often, it isn't fine dining nor is it trying to be. We cook in a way that we as cooks like to eat, do not be afraid to share, as sharing truly is the spice of life. If you would like simply to pop in for a cheeseburger and a refreshing pint please do, there is always space in the bar. It is loud and slightly chaotic, at night it is dark, we turn tables because we need to in order to survive, make the business work, and pay the people that make it work. Please don't be offended if we ask you to wait a little moment for your table to be ready. The kitchen opens at 6pm for service during weekdays (Monday to Friday) and at 1pm during the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) for a lunch service. The pub, however, opens at 3pm on weekdays and at 12pm on weekends
