Du Mamma Melina, le Seattle Times du 26 août 2010 a écrit : « Les trois frères Varchetta ont si soigneusement repensé le Mamma Melina qui vient de déménager, que même leur propre mère ne reconnaîtrait pas le lieu, alors qu'il a été baptisé en son nom ». Le nouveau Mamma Melina, qui occupe l'extrémité sud de la résidence Corydon, près du centre commercial University Village, compte des points communs avec l'élégant restaurant en centre-ville des frères Varchetta, le Barolo. Un jour d'été, vous croiriez qu'il s'agit de Rodeo Drive et non du sentier Burke-Gilman qui longe la vaste terrasse à l'avant du restaurant.
