Claypots Full Circle in Singapore serves Asian-inspired seafood, in a venue that’s over 25 years in the making. The original restaurant, which opened in Melbourne, was born from the head chef and founder’s culinary adventures across Singapore. Now after all this time, it has come full circle (get it) and returned to Singapore to share its success and spectacular food with the people and culture who inspired it. The decor is chic and stylish with a few choice murals that really set the atmosphere on fire. Located on Amoy Street in Telok Ayer, if you’re after a fantastic meal, unique cocktails and an evening to remember, then you’re after a table at Claypots Full Circle.

Singapore’s Bugis district has a firm ambassador for Moroccan cuisine in Deli Moroccan. Bugis itself is named for the Indonesian Buginese people, who converted to Islam some five centuries ago. The Islamic influence is indeed strong in Deli Moroccan, whose dishes bear the imprint of Mediterranean, Berber, and Andalusian traditions. Indeed, Moroccan cuisine is one of the most diverse in the world, and Deli Moroccan’s Bussorah Street premises are the perfect showcase for these warm, delicately spiced specialities. La Cala Singapore is a Spanish and Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of Bugis, one that we really can’t get enough of. It’s a contemporary space on Fraser Street that’s casual and great for lunch or dinner. The menu is as authentically Spanish as it gets and features tapas, paella, fresh fish and seafood, premium meat and a few options fresh from the charcoal oven to boot. There’s so much to recommend, but we really love the pigeon paella or the Catalan-style slow-cooked lamb rack. La Cala Singapore is right by Bugis MRT so it’s easy to get to no matter where you’re coming from, just be sure to arrive armed with an advance reservation.
