Darling’s is a fresh pasta eatery in East London. Overlooking Olympic Park, the eatery is a hidden gem in Fish Island where the industrial and creative spaces converge. Roman Road, Bow, Hackney Wick and Victoria Park are just a stroll away from your weekly treat of freshly made pasta and wine from independent producers. Egle Loit, a trained pasta chef, has previously popped up mostly around East and North London, creating a buzz with her pre-restaurant residency at Vestry House Museum in 2023.Founder of Darling’s cares dearly about the craft that fresh pasta making requires. “One can turn humble ingredients into abundance with skill,” shares the restaurateur. Darling’s is designed to be an open space to be shared between the guests and the team, therefore there are no barriers between the service area and the dining area. You’ll find yourself connecting by enjoying your meal at the shared table. Those, who like to hide away, can still do it at separate tables.

Just opened 14 Feb 2022!Walking into Emilia’s Wood Wharf will be like entering a bustling trattoria in Italy’s Emilia Romagna region with an ambience created by natural terracotta-plastered walls bathed in natural light, rustic Iroko furniture, creamy crema marfil marble counters and hand-painted Italian tiles. Chefs making fresh pasta greet diners at the window in a special dedicated custom-made area visible from all sides. The thoughtfully designed interior cleverly combines a vibrant bar area with a custom table bocce for some competitive socialising in half the restaurant, with a cosy rustic restaurant section for more intimate moments and lingering conversations. The custom-designed kitchen and bar areas will be fully open for diners to watch the theatrics of drinks and dishes being freshly prepared.     Went here for an anniversary with my partner and food, drinks, the vibes and everything was amazing 💕. The only thing was that the staff seemed super busy so the service was a bit inattentive and slower. Personally, I didn’t really mind it as I prefer to have a slow-paced, uninterrupted meal :)

    The best dinner in ages. Every course was delicious. The Parmesan butter with the sourdough, I could have eaten that for seconds. The lasagne lived up to the hype, the garlic bun was crisp and so garlicky and rocket salad was simple but the perfect side. Yum. I hate tiramisu but decided to try it and I’m so glad I did as it was perfect along with the chocolate sorbet. Loved the little venue and the staff were all welcoming. Wished the deli was open when we came as I’d definitely have been taking some bits home with us.

    Have been here a few times and really enjoy the atmosphere, the service and the food. I am Italian and I really enjoy how the chef elevates simple dishes by choosing great combinations of ingredients.
