Opera Tavern is a beautiful two-storey bar and restaurant in the heart of central London’s theatre land. Located on Catherine Street we are opposite the Drury Lane Theatre, seconds from the Opera House, a stone’s throw from The Strand and a lovely walk across Waterloo Bridge from the South Bank. A beautiful former pub, the exposed brickwork, bold artwork and flattering low lighting help our two-story restaurant create the perfect atmosphere for a pre-theatre meal or drink. Our dough is made fresh daily and proved slowly, meaning we’re able to use minimal quantities of yeast and our pizzas are light. Our commitment is to quality, we use carefully selected Italian and local British ingredients from a handful of small, independent suppliers to top our pizzas.We use independent producers as long term partners, including Fior Di Latte Mozzarella sourced from Caserta, and wines imported directly from private Italian growers. Bon endroit où il faut réserver à l'avance si on veut avoir une table (c'est déjà un bon signe ...). Les plats étaient très bons, l'atmosphère est chaleureuse et les serveurs sont aux "petits soins" avec la clientèle et très gentils. L'un d'eux nous a même rattrapé dehors dans la rue après notre départ car mon épouse avait oublié son parapluie au restaurant pour l'anecdote. Ce sera un bon souvenir et une adresse à conseiller.

Une cuisine de très bonne qualité sur base de bons produits. Carte des vins intéressante permettant de voyager au travers de l'Italie. Service efficace et attentionné......(bémol) dans une ambiance très bruyante mais conviviale.
