Yana Coogee, situated a stone’s throw away from the beach on the main promenade of Coogee, is inspired by Chef Same Lane's passion for the simplicity of cooking with an open fire and the feeling of being surrounded by great food, drink and company. The delicate smokey aromas from the kitchen greet guests as they arrive in our Australian inspired interior with exposed brick walls and leather seating booths - altogether, setting the scene for a delicious, fire-touched dining experience.     Margaret deserves to be regarded as one of Australia's premier restaurants. From the moment you step in and are greeted by friendly and efficient staff, the whole experience one of pleasure and reward. The food is of course the pleasure - so fresh and amazing flavours. The reward is to be looked after by smiling and attentive wait staff who seem to know what you might want before even asking. yes it is an expensive meal, but well worth it for special occasions or if you really do need to just celebrate life.

    Really nice place with a great atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly. We were a party of two and found the table a bit small and cluttered. We had the topside and brisket with veges. The meat was nicely cooked and well presented. We'll be back.

    Great lunch time experience. We had the bottomless bruch. Great value and very generous with the drinks. Steak was excellent too! Many thanks to Nico and the team for looking after our group making it a very special lunch.
