Part of the historic Buckhurst Estate, the pub is named after the Earls and Dukes of Dorset, one time heads of the Sackville family, and shares a heritage of family ownership now headed by their descendant, the present Earl De La Warr.Showcasing the best of what Sussex has to offer, our Head Chef has fine-tuned the classics and combined them with modern British dishes to provide a diverse and exciting menu.

The White Hart Wadhurst is an award winning pub with rooms set in the beautiful village of Wadhurst, around 10 minutes from Tunbridge Wells and a 50 minute train journey from London and right next to Bewl Water. Our food is as local as it can be and is a mix of small plates, great charcuterie, local cheeses, pub classics and more refined dishes.
