Welcome to The Greyhound, a 17th century coaching inn, in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town.Owned and managed by husband and wife team, Daniel Crump and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, the pub and restaurant was named as the ‘One to Watch in the UK’s prestigious Top 50 Gastropubs Awards, named a TripAdvisor 2021 Travellers’ Choice Award Winner, and voted the best restaurant in Bucks & Oxon by guests in the annual Muddy Stilettos awards. The Greyhound is made up of 3 key areas for guests to enjoy: an intimate drinking lounge and outside drinking terrace, the main restaurant for dining (upstairs and downstairs), and an outdoor covered and heated dining terrace. The different menus showcase a commitment to using the best seasonal British produce available. The Greyhound also stocks a diverse wine list, developed by Margriet, who is a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, as well as a wide range of international beers.

We are very proud to have been voted Best Restaurant by our diners through Open Table.A well established independent family run dog-friendly pub with real log fires, in the heart of Berkhamsted; considered by many to be a "proper" pub. With the benefit of a car park and a spacious, sunny beer garden, backing onto the canal. Plus an enclosed, heated mediterranean styled decking area to the rear, perfect for Al Fresco dining. Our seasonal menu and specials, are created in house by our head chef Oli Board and his team, show casing fresh local produce and catering to all dietary requirements. Sunday is all about our home cooked Roast, served till 5.00pm. Food from the kitchen is available during all bookable hours.Homemade bar snacks, cakes and coffee are always available. There is a dedicated gin bar, cocktails made to order and a selection of local real ales, craft beers and European lagers.

The 17th Century craftsman’s cottage has gradually been extended to form a charming country pub full of nooks and crannies. Under new ownership, The Black Horse has recently undergone extensive refurbishment both inside and out, creating one of the nicest pub environments in the area.Food is our passion and we will never compromise on quality. We are proud of our seasonally changing menus, simple, yet exciting using the finest ingredients and locally sourced produce. Certain dishes have become specialities such as our sticky ribs and homemade 8oz burgers. Our beef has been aged for a minimum of 35 days and the roast beef served on Sundays is unrivalled. Crispy beer battered fish and specials such as sea bass, turbot and whole lobster, is caught in the morning and delivered fresh to us on the same day.
