Le Red Stripe est une brasserie traditionnelle innovante, à la fois classique et unique, haut de gamme et décontractée. Vous y rencontrerez des gens de tous les horizons venus apprécier leur expérience culinaire. Le Red Stripe sert une cuisine réconfortante d'influence française, de caractère simple mais au goût raffiné, à un prix raisonnable et élaborée avec passion ! Vous dégusterez des créations, comme l'alléchant Red Stripe Grilled Cheese (sandwich chaud au fromage grillé) au jambon de parme, aux poires pochées et au basilic, accompagné d'une soupe de tomates rôties au four ou de frites maison et d'aïoli (certainement très différent de tout autre sandwich au fromage grillé que vous connaissez) ou encore une large sélection de moules (10 variétés), le plat toujours populaire de la maison !
Le Red Stripe est situé dans l'East Side de Providence dans le quartier animé de Wayland Square. Il a récemment été élu « Meilleur Restaurant de Quartier » par le Rhode Island Monthly.
A favorite of Julia Child - Pot au Feu Bistro is so much more than a restaurant... Established in 1972, our cozy Bistro is the oldest French Bistro in America. Pot au Feu Bistro kicked off the Providence Restaurant Renaissance being the first to offer something other than “steak, spaghetti and chow mien”.Located in the Historic Downtown we are just minutes from all the hotels and convention center.
Le Central is a French bistro, focusing on modern interpretations of classic dishes featuring local products from Sakonnet Lobsters, Four Town Farm (Seekonk, MA), Walker's Farm (Barrington, RI), Scott the Bassman, and Little Rhody Eggs (Foster, RI). Low lighting, checkerboard floor tiling, glass tabletops, and French nu-Jazz provide an intimate yet warm and familiar atmosphere. Chef-owner Jesse James spent his early career in Boston, working with chefs Moncef Meddeb at L'Espalier and Jasper White at Jasper's, with further experience at other landmark restaurants in New York, France, and Italy. Le Central is the third restaurant he has designed, built, and operated, after Aperto (Est 1992) and Boca Rotis (Est 1997), both in San Francisco. The large painting by Inez Storer on the south wall of the restaurant (which also serves as our logo) is of Jesse's son, Sam (the current General Manager & Beverage Director), and his childhood dog, Skye. Inez wouldn't say who the guy in the chair is.
