Poppies in Hanbury Street was Pop’s first restaurant and the one where the journey began. The retro-diner and takeaway is close to Pop’s heart as it brought 70year old Pat out of retirement. It fulfilled his lifelong dream of opening an East End chippie and a desire to offer customers a taste of the old East End.
British meals don’t get more classic than fish and chips. Trust in Tom Kerridge to take the UK’s favourite dish to new heights at his eponymous restaurant. On the menu created by one of the UK’s best-loved chefs, you’ll find Britain’s finest, freshest seafood, all ethically caught and hand-selected by local fishmongers. From the daily catch to hand-dived scallops and native lobster, there’s a variety of grilled and deep-fried options – with the chef’s signature crisp and gluten-free batter – that will have you salivating. Desserts are equally classic, and reminiscent of seaside holidays.
