From the minds of Adolfo Garcia (Son of a Butcher, Pearl Tavern) and long-time restaurateur, Phil Stefani, comes Broken English Taco Pub. Located on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Lake Street, Broken English is steps away from Millennium Park, and in the center of the new vibrant hotel and residential area. On the name, Garcia says, “I speak English with my friends, and I often find myself mixing in Spanish words because there are some phrases that simply don’t translate to English. 10/10 experience. I reserved this spot for my best friends birthday and it did not disappoint. Staff were attentive and thoughtful. The team even wrote her a birthday card. The food was phenomenal. All flavors mesh well in every dish. Pulpo a la Parilla, Pollo a la Leña, and the empanadas were our favorites. Definitely plan on coming back to try other dishes and for any other celebratory needs.

The restaurant is super cute. The music volume was a bit loud for a Wednesday due to the crowd, but i get if it was a Saturday with a busy crowd. Overall the food was great! The empanadas were fried to perfection almost pastry like. Will definitely go back in the summer

Fantastic. I can’t wait to come back here and try more ! Veggie tacos were delicious as was the guacamole. Great service and drinks too!
