This traditional restaurant opened its doors in 2009 as a tribute to our grandmother Maria Corona, born in Mexico City in 1917. The history of the Corona family is extremely interesting, dates from the time of the General Ramon Corona who, during the French intervention played a fundamental role in the fall of the Emperor Maximilian. This restaurant is the guardian of the traditional techniques of mestizo cuisine, with flavors and recipes dating back to the times of the Mexican Independence until the beginning of the twentieth century. Dedicated to our grandmother Maria Corona born in 1916 in Mexico City, here you will find her traditional recipes along with her cooking secrets as they’ve been handed down from generation to generation. Durante los últimos 26 años, The Sand Bar ha sido un chisporroteo de clientes felices que se sienten bienvenidos y quieren volver por más, una y otra vez. Lovely dinner on our first night in Cabo. Sushi was amazing and great ambience! Had dessert that ended the meal fantastically.

This place is incredible from the views, cocktails, food & service. We brought fish we caught & Chef Victor did an excellent job at preparing the fish three different ways off menu. Each dish was unique and delicious, accompanied with a drink pairing. Go up early for a sunset view & enjoy! Can’t wait to go back next year!
