The founder is a mother of three who was looking for places locally to have a nice coffee and some lovely brunch whilst my older children were at school and I had the little one with me.Locally there wasn’t anything except for the coffee shop chains who didn’t offer proper meals during those core school hours where you want to be able to have enough time to enjoy your meal but also get out by 2pm on time for the school run. There are plenty of places for lunch that open from 12 but women like the founder who maybe would like to meet a friend for a coffee and brunch there wasn’t anything.This is why I decided to start Nashtaa. Where we can all go have a lovely cup of tea or coffee, a nice brunch with a fusion twist and a homemade slice of cake to top it off! All in a beautiful Instagram worthy setting.

We are a family business group operating within a number of industries including construction, security, technology consultancy. In July 2019, we landed the opportunity to turn around the historical Fusilier public house. The property needed a lot of work to regenerate it and, coupled with our approach of doing things right first time, we invested a significant amount of resources to turn this place around.We wanted to give customers a restaurant that they can come dine in that offered quality food, as well as local watering hole. Patri has several meanings, in Hindi it means Pavement, in Urdu it means Track and in ancient Sanskrit its means a vessel or small furnace. The name took us back to our origins and we decided to use Pavement, Tracks, and Furnace to come up with a street food menu contains all three elements. Our starters are street food classics on pavements in India and Pakistan. Our grills are freshly cooked in the tandoor at over 400 degrees to replicate cooking in a furnace. Our curries are inspired by the railway cooks on train journeys in India.Founder, Puneet Wadhwani, has created a never-before-seen menu bringing to life the snacks and dishes he once ate as a child growing up within a bicycle ride of New Delhi train stationFrom rail side snacks, such as ‘girlfriend chaat,’ cooked on the platform and handed to travellers through the windows of passing trains, to the fragrant curries, such as, ‘rare ghost,’ cooked on board.
