The Black Penny Covent Garden is a unique cosy café, with bare brick walls, only a stones throw away from Covent Garden. Gourmet brunch is at the heart of what The Black Penny is famous for. Loved this place, the staff are super friendly and attentive but not “in your face”. It is indeed a grand café, more of a grand brasserie. Can highly recommend the nibbles, beautifully served warm bread, hot padron peppers and superb iberico ham. Fab wines and really lovely mains. Even the espresso was spot on. Well done the Brush, we had a great birthday celebration for my husband. We didn’t try the cocktails but the mixologist was creating a range for staff training purposes and they looked amazing. Next time….

Lovely environment, amazing food-especially the fried chicken waffle which was incredibly juicy yet not too greasy! Really friendly staff which made the full experience enjoyable

A really cool place to eat. We had breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend eating here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. 10 out of 10!

Ambience was great, food could have been better (the scrambled eggs were a bit too runny for me) and presentation could have been better as well. A lot of banging of plates and cutlery in the kitchen which was a little loud and distracting.
